It has also been broken down into individual days and smaller files). The schedule is fairly solid at this point in time but will likely undergo some minor changes over time. The registration form for the event is located below in the registration section. Activity descriptive catalogue The Heartland Traditional Music and Dance Festival will run from November 17th through the 22nd in Lawrence, KS. The first part of that week through Thursday afternoon, November 19th, will focus on programming in local schools and leadership development. A family dance is scheduled Thursday evening, November 19th. Friday, November 20th through Sunday, November 22 will be packed with some amazing workshops during the day and an English country dance and contra dance occurring at the same time on Friday and Saturday evenings. Daytime workshops and activities will include: Contra and English country dance workshops, clogging workshop, running sound workshops, jam sessions, singing, foot percussions, shape note singing, music theory and Scandinavian dancing in 3/4. We have an outstanding array of staff for the event.

$100 – Early bird weekend price if registered before Nov 7th $120 – Weekend price at the door 12 and under are free Students are half price (the weekend rate only – $50 early bird advance or $60 at the door – do discount on individual event pricing) Thursday is FREE, donations accepted
The early bird registration deadline has been moved to November 7th. Have your form emailed or postmarked by Nov. 7th.
The registration form can be downloaded by clicking on the button(s) below. You can fill out the form and email it back to our registrar (send a check in the mail) or print it out and mail it back with a check. The form may not appear correctly in your browser for filling out the sections for electronic submission. Make sure you open in Adobe Acrobat for it to function properly. If you encounter any technical issues sending the form back electronically, just print it out and mail it back. Individual event costs will also be posted here in the future.
